Races
Club Races
Every year we host a series of member-only race events as an opportunity to gain more race experience and build camaraderie with fellow club members in a lower pressure environment. We also give out prizes ranging from club merchandise, accessories, special awards from our club partners, and more! For questions or to help club leadership put on these events, please contact racedirector@dctriclub.org
Training Duathlons
In the spring we hold a series of duathlons to help club members sharpen their fitness and practice transitions prior to their target races. Run. Bike. Run.
Splash n’ Dash
In both spring and summer we run short distance aquathons as opportunities for members to test speed, complement their own training plans, practice transitions, or just cool off and have fun.
Time Trials and Spooky 5K
Club races pick back up in the fall after members’ summer season. We hold a series of time trials (you vs. the clock!) and around Halloween, we hold a Spooky 5K trail run and Chili-Cookoff. Costumes encouraged!
Club Race Results
And we keep track!
The club has been putting on races for over a decade now! And we have the result records to prove it! We’re no Athlinks, but we do keep our results!
Upcoming Races
Did you know: Members of the DC Triathlon Club race all over the DMV region, all over the country, and even all over the world? Did you know that racing with friends and teammates is way more fun than racing alone?
Want to know who is racing where and when? We compile and distribute a list of the most popular races for our club members each year. Let your fellow club mates know that you are racing an event! Encourage your friends to go to the race with you!
Club Featured Races
Every year the DC Triathlon Club features a few races that we put all our efforts to get our members to join us and celebrate the Team aspect of the Club! Races where you can see all your friends. Races where you can see TONS of DC Triathlon Club kits all over the course! Race alongside our DC Triathlon Club Elite Team and get their support in return as you head toward the finish line! Races where we bring out the Club tents, club chairs, kiddie pool, and have lots of snacks and drinks for you to refuel after the race!

Race Reports
We want to hear what you think about a race! Tell us about your whole experience from waking up on the morning of a race until crossing the finish line. Send us your race reports and let your fellow club members know the pros and cons of a race. The things to do… The things NOT to do… during a race!
Submit your race reports to and we will get those posted!
IRONMAN TriClub Program
The Ironman TriClub Program gives back to the thousands of clubs that support the sport of triathlon. If you race Ironman events (5150, Ironman 70.3, Ironman), register as a member of DC Triathlon Club on your Ironman account [link to account log in/creation] to help DC Triathlon compete against other clubs and secure benefits for our members at Ironman branded races.
- Race with fellow DC Tri Club members to compete against other clubs at Ironman branded events, including TriClub Championships. In addition to the on-site competitions and annual Global TriClub Rankings, joining the TriClub Program provides clubs with a number of valuable benefits, like priority registration to certain events for members and tent space in the TriClub Village at races.
- Read more about all the ways the IRONMAN TriClub Program celebrates club achievements on the Ironman TriClub Program website.

Club Member Connect
Another great place to learn about workouts, training opportunities and find training partners is our Club Member Connect. Members regularly post looking for groups and partners to swim, bike, and run, including details about when/where/what time they are taking place. Member Connect is also the place to get the answer to any questions that you might have.
