Elite Team Member Since JANUARY, 2022
Julie Billingsley
Julie was a youth and collegiate swimmer. She branched out into triathlons in 1985, when aero bars looked really funny and sports drinks were in their infancy.
She raced competitively for 5 years, including at the first world championships in Avignon, France, 1989. Since then four kids, multiple ankle surgeries and a busy life have added up to some on and off years of racing but much more consistency over the past 10 years. She relishes all the mishaps, glitches, challenges and adventures of racing – no race ever goes as planned. Julie is excited to be a new member of DC Tri!
