Not only was a super windy day but I checked the bike route, and it looked pretty hilly! Amazing. I also wonder who attended it.
Unfortunately, I cannot do anything on Saturdays but if anyone is ever interested in a group ride on a Sunday, I am in!

Jorge Alvarez replied to the topic Water fountains downtown? in the forum Half Ironman Program (HIP) for Paid Participants 5 years, 6 months ago
I hate when this happens – I wish they had a schedule of when the water fountains are turned on and off – maybe they do?
I have found that the water fountains inside the Lincoln memorial work all year round, but I don’t know any other ones around the mall. Otherwise, I think they start turning them on as the weather gets nicer.

I know we are all busy thinking about this, our training, life, unforeseen events, etc., but I just wanted to share two upcoming events that you might find beneficial.

I thought it was very useful and very informative. We covered a lot of info during this day, but it also seemed like people still had…[Read more]

I am so glad to see people asking questions about HR training as I am also new to this. I have read several articles online, and like them and coach AJ mentioned, it takes time to get it right. I have also talked to other triathlete friends who are more experience in this subject and they also said the same, it takes time.
This is the perfect…[Read more]

Hi Katherine,

I love Mass Av from DuPont circle as I live in that area. Also, not a busy road pedestrian wide. Sometimes on Sundays I run up to Wilson, go swimming, then run back home. Love it!

Apologies for just getting back to you.. working as an accountant this time of the year is crazy busy!
So.. as someone who started as a runner I can tell you that not getting new running shoes for that long is a big NO NO 🙂 but I am glad you bought new ones. I think people always say you should get new shoes every 500 miles or…[Read more]

Romain – that is very impressive indeed (sorry for being late to the party). I just recently started breathing on both sides when swimming and like you, I suspect my stroke, pace, and time is WAY different than the other side. However, I haven’t done much investigation on this. Now you gave me something to do!!!! 🙂

This is my first time with a premium membership to TP, and I love the fact that every time I am done with a workout (swimming, running, biking or others) my Garmin automatically syncs with TP and I can go and check out my workout summary. So cool.
Is anyone else ready? This is the time when you want to sync your watches as TP will send you…[Read more]

That’s awesome! I actually had to look up some of the swim workouts to see exactly what I need to do as I am not a swimmer and my swim workouts in the past have been just about distance and some minimal drill work.
Did anyone take advantage of the nice weather yesterday? I went biking around hains point but of course, it was extremely windy!!!
